The Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust Celebrates Moving Mountains and Pathways to Impact Grantees

On Wednesday, February 25th, the Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust hosted a reception honoring the latest recipients of the Moving Mountains Grant and Pathways to Impact Grant.
Held at Temple University’s Mazur Hall, home of the Center for Anti-Racism, the evening brought together entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, community partners, and supporters to celebrate organizations and individuals working to create meaningful change in their communities.
The Trust awarded $100,000 across both programs, investing directly in small businesses and community organizations whose work reflects the mission and legacy of Dr. Reverend Leon H. Sullivan.
The evening featured remarks from Portia Fullard, Executive Director of the Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust, Mable Ellis Welborn, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Timothy N. Welbeck, Esq., Director of the Center for Anti-Racism at Temple University. Pennsylvania State Senator Sharif Street also made a special appearance to show his support. Each speaker highlighted the importance of supporting leaders and organizations committed to building stronger, more equitable communities.
Moving Mountains Grant Recipients

These entrepreneurs represent a wide range of industries and are united by their commitment to excellence, creativity, and community impact.
Pathways to Impact Grant Recipients
The Pathways to Impact Grant supports nonprofit organizations and initiatives dedicated to community development, education, and social impact.

Black Girls Love Math – Atiyah Harmon

Urban Affairs Coalition: Collective Success Network – Geena Asiedu

Novick Urban Farm – Erin Dorsey

Victory United – Mike Morak

Mentor Leaders Produce Mentor Leaders – Vincent Garrett

Through their work, these organizations are expanding access to resources, education, and opportunities for communities across the region.

The next Moving Mountains Grant application cycle opens on March 23rd, 2026.
