The Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust developed the Human Services Center in partnership with the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to provide a centralized location for social and human services in North Philadelphia. Early tenants included the Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, Philadelphia Police Academy, and Temple University Health. The Center also housed academic and management training programs created by the Trust. Today, it remains a central hub connecting community members to essential services and resources.
The Human Services Center has evolved to meet changing community needs through intentional tenant selection and ongoing community engagement. Organizations are selected based on alignment with the Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust’s mission and their ability to deliver meaningful services that support community well-being and stability.
